Sinopse:
Conheça Richard Castle: ele é um bem sucedido escritor de histórias de investigação que acabou de matar o protagonista de seus livros. Mas parece que um fã gostou demais de seus livros, e começa a cometer assassinatos exatamente como aqueles que acontecem nos livros de Castle. Depois de ser interrogado pela polícia, Richard se junta a Detetive Kate Beckett para solucionar esse caso. Os dois se tornam parceiros e começam a investigar outros crimes cometidos em Nova York, ao lado dos experientes detetives Tony Esposito, Kevin Ryan e Capitão Roy Montgomery. Eles trabalham também com o legista Lanie Parish. Além de desvendar assassinatos brutais, Richard também tem que cuidar de sua família: a mãe, Martha Rodgers, uma diva da Broadway, e a filha, Alexis.
